這一份談三件事:閉關房的單元組合、金剛亥母殿的設計發展,以及 Grand Café 怎麼過冬。
冬天的做法是把室內體積縮小,用犛牛毛與羊毛的重簾把天花板降下來、把空間圍起來, 簾子的花紋取自當地既有的織法;中央是喜馬拉雅火箭爐,每小時燒不到一公斤木柴。

SMA — Temple and Café Ideas

The deck covers three things: how the retreat cottages group into two- and three-unit blocks, the design development of the Vajrayogini temple, and how the Grand Café gets through winter. The winter answer is to shrink the room: heavy yak- and sheep-wool curtains bring the ceiling down and close the space in, their patterns taken from the weaving already made in the valley, with a Himalayan rocket stove at the centre that burns under a kilogram of wood an hour.
